Who Should Enrol?
The CMI Level 3 Award in Project Management is suitable for managers responsible for projects, learners working in project environments, and individuals wishing to develop their knowledge of project management as part of their wider management skills.
CMI does not specify formal entry requirements; however, centres must ensure learners have sufficient capability at the appropriate level to undertake learning and assessment.
Qualification/Skill Level
This Level 3 qualification develops knowledge and understanding of the nature and context of projects, project roles and responsibilities, stakeholder management, and project planning and control processes.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to understand the purpose and structure of projects, explain the business context of projects, identify project success factors, understand project roles and stakeholder management, and understand methods for planning and controlling projects.
Awarding Organisation
This qualification is awarded by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and is regulated on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). CMI qualifications are recognised by employers in the UK and internationally.
Course Duration and Support
Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this Award is 60 hours, including 25 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). Centres determine the delivery schedule. Learners receive tutor guidance, assessor feedback, and internal quality assurance oversight in line with CMI requirements.

The course is delivered 100% online, allowing learners to study at their own pace.
Assessments
Assessment is against the unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria. A range of assessment methods may be used, including assignments, reports, projects, case studies, presentations, and professional discussions.
There are no written examinations.
The written word is expected to form the majority of assessable evidence at Level 3.
